Wilderness is a diminishing part of our world. Yet from it's inspiration came eternal myth; The Enchanted Forest. Painting the natural world has had a beautiful history and in the 19th century the aspiration was to capture the sublime. Nature becomes the threshold of the sacred; the immanence of the divine. This high water mark in the Romantic Tradition is something to which I strive to contribute.
